Help on how to get your art work onto the Forum and uTalkArt website. Read the contents of this Forum if you need guidance on how to get your art work on either the Forum categories, or the uTalkArt website.

Default Help on how to get your art work onto the Forum and uTalkArt website.

(1) How do I get my artwork on a Forum category?

Step 1: Once you have registered and you are logged into the Forum, click on the "uTalkArt" logo located in the top left hand corner and you will be taken to the Forum home page if you are not already there. You will now see a list of category forums. Find the category forum you are interested in, create a thread and post your artwork using the "paper clip" attachment icon. The image you upload can be of any size. The Forum software will automatically resize your image to be 300px by 300px. You can also add text within your thread asking people to comment on your artwork.

Step 2 (optional - Create an Album): In addition to step 2, you can create an Album containing your art work.

However please be aware that the Albums are not easily accessible to other Forum users and you are more likely to get your artwork noticed by using the Forum threads (see step 2).

Should you wish to create an Album, do the following:
Click on "User CP" (this is located on the horizontal menu bar at the top of the screen)
Now click on "Pictures & Albums" (you will find this in the left hand column under "Networking").
Follow the steps to add as many Albums as you want to.

(2) How do I get my own Gallery on the uTalkArt website?

Gallery Request. To do this you need to do the following:

Click on the "Contact Us" button on the Navigation Bar at the top of any of the website pages and enter the following information:
  1. In the "Please enter your name" field: Type in your name.
  2. In the "Please enter your email address" field: Type in your email address. Make sure you enter the correct email address; otherwise we will not be able to contact you to start the set-up process.
  3. In the "Please enter your "Contact Us" comments/text here" field: Type in the Forum thread that contains the artwork you want to have displayed in your own Gallery on the main website. Please tell us which artwork items in the thread you want in the Gallery.
  4. Once we have receive your email, we will begin the process of creating your Gallery.
We also allow you to use our website to sell your artwork. When we contact you, let us know if you want to display a buying price next to any of your artwork. Along with the price a "contact the artist" email link will be displayed as well. Anybody interested in buying your artwork can then contact you. Your email address is kept confidential and the buyer will not be able to see it. Once you have received the email from the potential buyer, the sale negotiations are completely between you and the buyer.

However, should you make a sale, we ask that you send us a donation. This will help to cover the cost of running the uTalkArt website.

(3) How do I my own Exhibition on the uTalkArt website?

Exhibition Request. To do this you need to do the following:

This is the easy part. Once you have a Gallery set up on the website, all you need to do is use the "Contact Us" button again, but this time tell us which art works from your Gallery you want to Exhibit. We will do the rest and set up your Exhibition.

Please bear in mind that you cannot exhibit all the art work in your Gallery, just a subset of the art work items in your Gallery.

Should you have any difficulties uploading your art work please feel free to use the “Contact Us” button on the website to contact us.
